Our first session today was with Helen Eley, about behaviour management and the School Behaviour Policy, which solved a lot of my worries :)
The rest of the day I spent it with Bridget and Neil(my mentor), observing their lessons.

Thursday 2nd October 08
Today we were shadowing year 7 and 8 students. Elizabeth, a polite and cleaver young lady from year 8, was my shadow student. I attended with her four lessons before lunch time and a lesson after lunch; History, Geography, PE, DT and Maths.
I was terrified by the behaviour of the pupils in Maths class. Consequently, The incident kept me thinking, what would I do if I was put in same situation!!!

First Block Placement (Thamesmead)

Wednesday 1st October 08
Today was the first day of training. I couldn’t sleep all last night, feeling tense about the experience!!
Early morning, i met Curricular Mentors training (Emma) who introduced us to Training School Manager (Helen Aley). Also had the joy to meet 5 other trainees; James who is from Brunel, Carol Anne, Claire, Robecca and Emma who are from different universities, but i cant recall.
Later during that day we had a tour around the school with Emma, then each one of us had different programs. I personally had to meet my mentor (Neil King) who was sadly ill that day. Instead i met his colleague, a very friendly and lovely lady (Bridget Oakes). We had a chat, showed me IT resources as well as student work.
In general, I was pleased also relieved :)
